We scraped ice off the car and drove to Brecon to get some sandwiches for lunch from the Co Op. Then to the Taf Fechan Forest car park.

We walked up the lane to the drained Upper Neuadd Reservoir, emptied of water in 2016. We went up to what would have been the wet side of the dam and had a look around.

Then we went off the beaten track up to the path running up to the peaks. We followed the path up – it was quite busy. There were Ravens at the top and spectacular views.

We came back down the same way past the dam and then diverted via the abandoned filter house and workings and along the river through the woods back to the car park.

After dinner we played scrabble. J won.
