An RSPB guide pointed out a distant Cuckoo in a dead tree. He told us that small numbers of Brent Geese typically stay here until late May.

On the beach

There were Southern Marsh Orchids.

We got a sandwich in the cafe and then drove to Holkham. We walked through the Oak trees in the park. Lots of Song Thrushes, Barnacle Geese and Fallow Deer. We met a nice couple from Lowestoft.

Then we went to Morston and parked in the car park on the quay. We’d booked a 4:45 Seal-watching boat trip. We had a coffee while we waited.

Our boat

The boat went out of Blakeney Harbour to Blakeney Point, where we saw some Grey Seals.
