Stopped at Topsham for a wander around and a coffee, then on then to the RSPB Exminster Marshes car park.
We walked a mile and crossed the Exeter canal at the lock at the Turf Hotel and had a nice lunch there, sandwiched between the canal and the Exe estuary.
Walked back along the canal. Stopped at an overlook and saw: 1 x Peregrine, 2 x Buzzard, 2 x Hobby, 1 x Kestrel, 2 x Marsh Harrier, 1 x Kingfisher. Also Cattle Egrets.
Then through a ramshackle reclamation yard trying to find the entrance to Powderham Marshes – the entrance wasn’t there. We found the entrance, and walked through the reserve.
Half an hour drive to the Rock Inn. Nice pint of Jail Ale. Nice dinner.
