Monday: a good walk

We walked from the hotel down past the cathedral and ruined Bishop’s Palace.

14 miles, almost
Cathedral

Then down quiet lanes to the headland at Tregennis. At the headland we joined the coast path. There were the remains of an old copper mine.

We followed the coast path round to the lifeboat station at St Justinian’s, then headed inland for a bit before joining the coast path again at Whitesands Bay. We saw Dolphins (maybe Porpoises) in the bay. We watched a Pipit doing its parachuting display flight. We had fish goujons in a bap for lunch at the Whitesands Beach House.

Then out to St David’s Head where there was a burial chamber. On the way there were a few Choughs.

We climbed up between Carn Hen and Carn Twic and then down, past the youth hostel and back along the lanes to St Davids.
