Saw: spoonbills, mute swans, whooper swan, shelduck, wigeon, teal, gadwall, shoveller, mallard, tufted duck, little grebe, cormorant, little egret, heron, coot, lapwing, black tailed godwit, goldcrest, goldfinch, jay, etc.
Had the last two pasties in the cafe for lunch, sat opposite the bird feeders busy with all manner of birds including squirrels.
On the way back we stopped at Loughor castle.
When we got back to the pub it was raining, but the rain soon stopped and we walked down through wet fields to the sea over Llangennith Burrows, an undulating system of grassed-over sand-dunes.
