Tuesday 9th July: snorkelling 2

Rainy morning. J went to Ceolas to learn Cape Breton step dancing, Gaelic language and Scottish fiddle.

R stayed in and did work emails until it stopped raining, about midday. Then went to Loch Eynart. Foggy all day.

Drove round the north side, looking for snorkelling sites, didn’t find anything promising so went to the south side. Found a spot with lots of seals hauled out on rocks, and easy access to the water, and spent an hour snorkelling. Seals were curious and approached, but not close enough to get caught on the wide-angle GoPro camera. High tide, so not as much to see as previously at Loch Sgioport, but still fun. Crabs and fish and young prawns.

Later we walked into Loch Boisdale over the causeway, and on the way back watched a goldfinch feeding its young on a fence post.

Cooked cod for tea, then Jethro picked up J to go to a Ceolas house ceilidh. R stayed in and had some Highland Park.
