Went to Jethro’s cottage for coffee, then the three of us drove to Eriskay. Parked by the ferry terminal and walked along the beach and dunes to the Am Politician pub, where we had lunch.

Glorious sunshine all day, white sandy beach and turquoise sea. Walked back along the road and moor.

Stopped off at Polochar on the way back for a quick explore and walked along the beach a bit. Flock of nine red-breasted mergasers landed, some eiders, distant seals.
J and Jethro went to play in a session at the Borrodale Hotel and then register for Ceolas, R went back to Loch Druidibeg and Loch Sgioport for an hour or so.
In the evening, we went to the Ceolas welcome ceilidh.

Did a few dances, listened to some good piping, singing and fiddle music, but it was a bit noisy as we were sat near the bar, and the MC was speaking entirely in Gaelic. Left just before tea, cakes and sandwiches were served at 9pm.
Back at the chalet an owl flew past, and two red deer stopped by.
