Looked in the one-room piping museum, attached to the hotel. Had a go on the bagpipes. Harder than it looks.
A group of Japanese schoolchildren arrived, and they all had a go too. Lovely.
Got the subway train to Hillhead, and walked in a pleasant neighbourhood past red sandstone university buildings to the Kelvingrove Art Gallery and Museum.
Looked at lots of stuff, including stuffed animals, a giant auk, a Spitfire hanging from the ceiling, Scottish and other art, including Charles Rennie Mackintosh and the Glasgow school.
Saw a genuine haggis.
Lunch in the cafe, then listened to the 1pm organ recital.
Wandered round the West End, visited cafes, got soaked in heavy rain shower, back on the subway.
Dinner at the hotel.
